Kamilia Motahari
Co-President
Kamilia is so excited to lead the GEM team this year as co-chair. She had an amazing time last year empowering young girls and creating a safe space. Her passion for girls empowerment is apart of her daily life. “The impact GEMfest has on our community is so fulfilling!”
Kat Isakov
Co-President
Kat is honored to lead GEM this year and is so excited to build a welcoming, inspiring community for these young girls. Outside of GEM, Kat is the Editor-in-Chief of Struck Magazine and a member of the Sage Hill Dance Ensemble.
SENIORS
Ellie Yeh
Ellie is a senior at Sage Hill and has volunteered for GEMfest in the past. She is excited to be a part of the team again and to continue empowering and connecting young girls. Outside of GEM, she enjoys being a student ambassador and Lightning Link for middle school kids.
Lydia Xu
Lydia is a senior at Sage Hill and loved being a part of GEMfest last year. She is an active member of DECA and a part of the Lightning Links program. She is super excited for this year and can’t wait for another amazing event!
Breeze Estrada
Breeze is currently a senior at Sage Hill School. She is an executive of the Student Advocates for Multicultural Education (SAME) and has been doing ballet for ten years. She is so excited to help create a safe space for middle school girls to feel empowered and uplifted through GEMfest.
Isabella Huang
Isabella is a senior at Sage Hill School. This year, she’s excited to help design engaging and interactive workshops for GEMfest. Outside of GEM, Isabella is Co-Editor-in-Chief of The Bolt, her school’s student newspaper. She loves playing the piano and taking her dog on walks. Isabella looks forward to working with the GEM team to create a memorable day for the girls!
Charlie Lee
Charlie is a senior at Sage Hill and has been a volunteer for GEMfest since she was a freshman. Outside of GEM, she is Co-President of the Sage Hill Speech and Debate Club and Social Chair at the Assistance League of Newport Mesa. She cannot wait for another exciting year of empowering young girls with the new team!
JUNIORS
Teresa Li
Teresa is currently a junior at Sage Hill. She enjoyed volunteering at GEMfest last year and is so excited to be on the team. Besides GEM, she is on the girls’ volleyball team and a part of yearbook. She looks forward to the big day!
Minhkha Le
Minhkha is excited to create systems where teen girls are uplifted and celebrated! Outside of GEM, Minhkha is the founder of Apricus Literary, captain of the Sage Hill Dance Ensemble, a pre-professional ballet dancer, and a pre-professional classically trained pianist.
Lindsey Lee
Lindsey is a junior at Sage Hill, and she is so excited to help plan GEMfest to empower young girls and make their voices heard. Outside of GEM, she works with repurposed textiles to create resources for women and others in need.
Bee Baker
Bee is currently a junior and a part of the tennis and swim team at Sage Hill. She is so excited for her first year at GEMfest especially after volunteering in the past. She can't wait to be apart of the team making amazing memories for the attendees!
Meredith Carroll
Meredith is a junior at Sage! She is looking forward to being a part of GEMfest and helping create a positive and empowering experience for girls in our community. She’s excited to meet new people, work with others, and be part of something that helps girls feel more confident and supported. She loves spending time with her friends and family, playing lacrosse, and trying new things!
Nikki Petrie
Nikki is a junior at Sage Hill. She’s excited to be able to work with brands and to be able to lift up young girls and be a role model to them. She is the cofounder of my club Rhythm to Reach, which is a club dedicated to teaching kids the art of dance, and she is also involved in the OC Student Ambassador Program. She is a part of Sage Hill Synergy and serves as the Secretary/New Member Liaison.
Sarina Haque
Sarina is a junior at Sage Hill School, where she enjoys being a student ambassador. Through GEMfest, she hopes to empower middle school girls and create a welcoming environment for them.
